Milk Bottle Plates are exactly as the name suggests. Using recycled HDPE plastic derived from two litre milk bottles produced as waste from a local cafe (The William Murray), the plates are heat-formed while at the same time the signature blue dot is embedded onto the top side (the dot itself made from the coloured plastic lids of the same milk bottles). The plates are left to set with enough time to induce some wrinkling and bulging. This induced imperfection functions to illustrates that low volume manufacturing can have a very different form of appeal from the regular mass manufactured fair. The plates are then used to serve coffee in the same cafe.
